Launching Our "Building the Future" Silent Auction
Start the year off with kindness and generosity by checking out our newly launched silent auction.
Our Building the Future silent auction — launching today — includes a variety of items and experiences we think you might enjoy, as well as practical items that help us support the students we serve!
Bridging Tech, through long-term and sustainable partnerships with homeless shelters and homelessness prevention programs across the country, has impacted the lives of thousands of students since its inception in 2020. Bridging Tech’s impact addresses the roots of intergenerational and systemic inequity by ensuring under-resourced students develop the digital skills and knowledge to thrive in our increasingly digital educational and professional landscapes.
But we need your help so we can grow our program and support students across New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, as well as those who are part of Arizona's Navajo Nation and refugee communities from Ukraine and Afghanistan. Bridging Tech’s work isn’t done until all students who we can identify as experiencing homelessness have access to a personal device for online learning, job applications, virtual tutoring, and digital socializing. The best way to help us during this winter’s fundraising campaign is to BID on auction items!
Here’s what you could experience.
Our first item on the docket is a peaceful Eastern Shore Property in a quaint, coastal New Jersey town. You can enjoy a lovely holiday week by the beach with 2-4 family members anytime between May and October.
Next, you can bid on a beautiful, authentic shawl from a local artisanal market in India. These shawls can serve as gifts for loved ones or stylish accessories! And, starting at $50, you can bid on decorative pillowcases from the same artisanal market in India. One of our board members will personally purchase and transport these ornamental items back from India.
Starting at $2,000, you can put your hat in the ring for a two-night stay in a luxury room at the famous Crosby Street Hotel in Soho, New York during Labor Day weekend. New York is also home to the US Open on Labor Day, so you could take advantage of this stay to check the US Open off your bucket list!
Finally, go for a mountain biking experience in Marin, California, with the Board Chair of Bridging Tech, who is also General Partner at Canvas Ventures: Mike Ghaffary. The experience comes with the use of a free electric mountain bike and brunch at a quaint Marin café buried in the mystic fog and forest cover of Marin County.
Every contribution makes a difference.
For $100, you can provide a laptop for a student experiencing homelessness, and for $1000, you can supply 10 of these computers. Your contribution will not only make a difference in the life of a student, but also in the everyday life of this student’s family members who will now also have newfound digital access.
Thank you for your constant support.
